Leveling Battle Pets In World Of Warcraft

As you’re probably aware there has been a new pet battle system introduced into the World of Warcraft game which makes it possible to battle the cute little companions that had only really followed you about in earlier expansions.

Pet battling brings a new element into the game with players battling and collecting pets against NPC’s and other players. To level a pet it must be leveled to 25 which is why this article will help you to get started and give you a sense of direction to help you to level your pets.

To get started in pet battling you’ll need to seek one of the pet trainers which can be located throughout the land of Azeroth and in most of the starting areas and then pay them in return for the Battle Pet skill.

The pet battle skill was 100g, now 80g so not sure where Blizzard will settle it but it will be in that region. You’ll also want to purchase the starter pet from which you can then start to battle your pet and get a general feel for how the new pet battle feature works.

Players that receive their training within the starting areas will have the benefit of quickly being able to locate some animals nearby with their Pet Tracking ability. The pets to battle around the starting zones are of low level so defeating them is fairly easy.

Once you’ve gained a little momentum and leveled up a few levels you can begin battling and then capturing pets in the wild and/ or add additional pets to your slots you gain as you level up.

It might seem a little tricky to find new pets that are roughly the same level as you but if you remember the zones you had initially used to level up then it will be a simple process. As you progress through the zones you’ll find higher level pets to engage in a pet battles with.

The Eastern Kingdoms and the Kalimdor zones is straight forward and you should be able to get your pet up close to level 20 mark before moving onto the Outlands.

The Outlands progresses in the same fashion with Hellfire Peninsula at the low end of the range between 17 and 18 and Netherstorm at the high end with level 20 pets.

After Outlands you can go to Northrend where the pet levels are pretty stable at between 20 and 22 throughout and finally Pandaria to get those last couple levels and finally reach level 25.

All in all pet battles are strategic and you’ll have to pay attention to pet families as you advance as this will give you the edge of knowing which of your battle pets is best against a particular pet.
